An easter tradtion typical for the east of Holland.
In catholic regions they are lit on sundays and in protestant regions they are lit on Easter Monday.
In Vilsteren everybody gathered around the church, where torches are lit.
The staple is a few hundred metres away near an old river arm. This Easter Sunday a few hundred people joined the procession to the bonfire.
