Machu Picchu, Peru

another image of the same old friend, here using a 16mm Bolex on one of our many adventurous trips gadding about the globe....this was 1984

admittedly the sky is overexposed, but that is due to altitude sickness high in the Andes...at least that's my excuse and I am sticking to it!!

Canon AE-1...Kodakchrome

other sizes: small medium large auto

This is a fantastic shot!! Love seeing old photos from a time when things were (slightly) less frantic than now! Very cool to see those mountains dropping away. V

I feel like I am an amazing adventure myself when looking this!
This is really a treasure!

A great picture and memory

The transfer to digital is very effective. One of the greatest place in the world, more tranquil in 1984 than now. Too overcrowded according to friends who were there last year. (We were in 1979...)

Is that a movie camera? He looks quite intent on his subject...

The sky is light but I love those green mountains, ad the nice shot of your friend.

I think your excuse is valid :) The mountains look so lush and I like seeing your friend at work. V

He looks like a true artist. Love his stance.

Excuse not accepted! Machu Picchu isn't high enough for altitude sickness (I know as I've been there). But one might be giddy with heights and perilous slopes; that excuse I would accept.

Great shot with a breathtaking view. And what a marvelous place to be photographing.
