Sumas Prairie

the Sumas River, marking the western side of the area, runs on a few kilometers north to flow into the Fraser River...apparently the Sumas is popular with local fishermen

the shot is from McDonald Park, officially recognized as a dark sky preserve, as Sumas Mountain, across the river, blocks light from nearby cities Abbotsford and Mission... star gazing and photography events take place here

Great capture of this beautiful scene, and I can see where it would be popular with fishermen.
