choices

strange bedfellows maples and palms, cheek to jowl, or leaf to frond...like US election choices...Donny's relentless search for gold whatever the human cost, or Joe placing more importance on health, and the wider environment...voters have a stark choice to make tomorrow

Lovely and very apt analogy there David...I'm writing this with hindsight of course but the stark choice couldn't have been more visually illustrated...thank goodness the palm tree came tops :o)

An unusual combination of leaves, but it suits your point well.
I think a big part of the problem here is the lack of emphasis on, and funding of education. Many people can barely read and write and students are no longer taught the values we took for granted. Seems there is no longer a gray middle area, sensible dialog and tolerance.
Interestingly, this coincides with the death of bookstores.

A beautiful autumn scene ! V.
It is a fact now established in many countries that in case of election voters always choose what I consider the worst candidate (USA, Brazil, Turkey, Venezuela, Poland, Russia etc, etc...) Terrible observation of the general lowering of the capacity of analysis and reflection of individuals...
Or it’s just that there’s a problem with me and that I’m getting mad ?

That's a really pretty tree. Set against the blue background and the green in front it really stands out. Can't believe the mess my country is in. While we might be able to change the person in the White House how do we change the hearts and minds of the people who think trump is so wonderful???

choose wisely - one has seen and heard enough of some people over the last few years.

These beautiful golden leave colors make a nice contrast with the palms. !V

I'm going for the bold gold, that maple is beautiful!

Beyond the bold golden leaves towering over the green; tomorrow holds a lot for a lot of folks - Canadians included (unfortunately.)
Julie Oldfield03-Nov-2020 02:24
What a contrast between flashy and down to earth. I am very scared about what’s going to happen. V

Cool image to support your narrative.

A lovely photo. And yes, the tension is getting almost unbearable.

It is an interesting juxtaposition for sure, and nicely captured with that brilliant color. I think, unbelievably, a lot of people will choose Trump...
