Finn Slough, Richmond

a tighter shot from the western end of the slough...the community here is fending off the advances of a developer with designs on the location...the character of the place may yet change, and radically

A beautifully composed capture with excellent lighting and value range. I think having this as a black and white image, conveys the character or spirit of this location so well. VV

This looks like one of the towns I saw in Alaska where salmon like to swim through all over. This should definitely be preserved. The perfectly balanced black and white enhances its oldness very effectively. ~BV~

A story that happens, unfortunately, all too often...

Great choice in b&w. Hard to believe this is in Richmond, it looks like it was taken in the southern bayou country. V

Very nice in B&W for this very rustic scene.

This looks like something out of the history hook - I do hope they survive the developers. V

Nice well captured image David. Looks like a developers dream site.

It should be left alone. I love the mood and composition. It looks like something out of the past. V

It's sad when developers come in and take over. Hope they can hold them at bay.

A well chosen vantage point to show how connected to water this community is. Your b&w emphasizes the detail well.

Very well taken to show the character of the place. I hope that change doe not happen. All the people who live there would be displaced. "VV"

I love the look of this community. How sad that it might fall to a greedy developer.

I echo the ‘timeless’ comment, David. This photo is exceptional and perfect in B&W.

I hope they do manage to fend the developers off, scenes like this are timeless and need to remain.

It would be a great shame to change it just so some developer can make their millions.
Glenn D.11-May-2020 17:14
A great shot of a 'time capsule' which should be left well enough alone.
