contemplation

with home become a hermit's cell, there will be lots of time for contemplation in the coming months of isolation, and lots of time for reading too...of course, the choice of books will be a careful one

Yes a good time to slow down and let the creative juices flow.
Doug Cruden05-Apr-2020 11:47
Yes, this is the perfect time to get out your favourite books and get acquainted with them again...

G.G. Marquez is a good choice, Surreal and baroque at the same time... V.

I wonder what shape we'll all be in after a few months of this :( Good to have a cheerful dakini to talk to :)
Dennis Hoyne05-Apr-2020 00:33
I hope it isn't that long, but at least I can talk to my dog. A fine still life!
bill friedlander04-Apr-2020 23:03
A long time to be in solitude.
Helen Betts04-Apr-2020 22:17
Nicely composed capture, but I sure hope that's just a book title and not how long the solitude will last!
Nirvan Hope04-Apr-2020 22:14
Glad you have the dakini for company for that 100 years of solitude!
Martin Lamoon04-Apr-2020 20:59
An interesting thought.

"One hundred years of solitude" might be a good start, though we hope this solitude won't last that long. I enjoy your composition! V
Nick Paoni04-Apr-2020 18:51
Neat composition and timely for today's situation. But gosh I sure hope the solitude won't extend to 100 years.

Nice still life, David. I haven't read the book, perhaps the library has it in e-book format.

You have interesting objetd'art(sp?). I read the books long ago I should read it again...if the library ever opens

"Hundred Years of Solitude" is a good choice and luckily there are many others. We are using this time to do as many positive things around the house to ourselves and for each other as we can. You only live once, so every day has to count. When I think of the experiences my family went through during bombing in World War II, this is surely not as serious.
