farming

The Dalles, Oregon

couldn't quite put my finger on it, but something in the décor of Cousins Restaurant suggested this might just be farming country

A cow would certainly have caused more problems... V.

Wonderful find!! I love it, V!!

John Deere sits at the head of the table, in farming country! V
Carol How07-Oct-2018 23:57
Ha, ha too funny! Looks like its about to tow the table away...
Hank Vander Velde07-Oct-2018 23:31
Well, that's a first for me. Never have I seen a tractor in a restaurant. Well seen and well captured David.

Clever decor in a rural cafe.
David.

Mmmm. Is that diesel I smell with my bacon?
janescottcumming07-Oct-2018 20:26
Well that's something I've never seen before! I'll bet the kids love it.
Johnny JAG07-Oct-2018 19:16
What makes you think that? Lucky they left the muck spreader outside!
John Vass07-Oct-2018 18:10
Guess they had to park it somewhere!
Walter Otto Koenig07-Oct-2018 18:07
Oh Deere, they went for the rural decor here. I wonder how many people have tried to start the tractor.
John Hamers07-Oct-2018 17:36
At least I hope they removed all diesel and lubricating oil from this engine to keep the carpet clean. Great capture though. V!
Carol E Sandgren07-Oct-2018 16:50
Brings new meaning to the term drive-in restaurant! How fun this is! Great capture.
Bryan Murahashi07-Oct-2018 16:36
That is some colorful decor. Nice find and capture.
Marcia Rules07-Oct-2018 15:29
comfy and homey, eh cousin?!
Jim Coffman07-Oct-2018 15:00
LOL!! Now I have seen it all!!
Helen Betts07-Oct-2018 14:20
That has to be the most unusual decor I've ever seen in a restaurant, but I agree with Lynn, what a waste of profit generating space.
Nick Paoni07-Oct-2018 13:56
I think you're right- makes sense though. Instead of cleaning up the dirty dishes at the end of the day they can just plow them under.
LynnH07-Oct-2018 13:49
How odd. You'd think they would want more profitable table space and maybe tractor pictures on the wall or something else low key. LOL
