daunting

Temple of the Inscriptions, Palenque, Mexico

many thanks for the concern, and reasoned advice...I am hearing the same from the physiotherapist and the local friends....go slow and make the moments count...easier said than done though, as the innate enthusiasm always wants to push to the fore...the path is still a bit daunting, as here at a temple you first climb, then descend to the interior tomb of Pakal, then re-climb the steep and wet inside stone steps, and finally descend the exterior staircase anew...well worth the effort, yet taxing all the same

Excellent capture! Love the high contrast b&w
processing. The results are well worth the effort. Reminds me of the
Mayan ruins I photographed there.

This perspective really emphasizes the steepness of these stairs well and the b&w treatment was a good choice to show the textures of the stone. "V"

An excellent monochrome with great clarity and value range. The diagonal lines adds so much energy and the lighting is beautiful. Voted

Can you imagine building this by hand. The vantage point certainly gives the impression of daunting.
It must be annoying when you want to pick up your pace but knowing that it would be foolhardy. "This too shal pass" I hope by the end of June you will be your old self again.

This temple looks like it's in very good condition - love your POV and fabulous in B&W. V
