Canyonlands NP, Island in the Sky district, Utah

hanging out with Dan for a few days provided a real lesson in committment...whatever it takes to get the shot, he is up for it...even if it requires dangling on the edge of a thousand foot drop

Nikkor 18-200mm - 1/500s f/11.0 at 48.0mm iso160 full exif

other sizes: small medium large auto

I don't like where you're standing...never mind Dan! Since anything can be made beautiful in a photo, I leave this to the intrepid....great capture of him....especially with the two big outfits....V

Great candid of a dedicated photographer. We've all been there so we know we do what it takes. Super illustration of that principle. V.

And he has a brace on his leg. I can't believe my eyes.
I hope he told you if he slips to catch his cameras.
By the way a most interesting shot.

David, it looks like that you were very close to the edge, too. I do not like heights!
I am glad that you both got your images without going over the edge!!!!
borisalex27-Oct-2012 16:35 got to find that angle, whatever it takes! :) You have been on the edge too!

Hmmm, only 1000-foot drop; anything for the shot.
Nice one of Dan.
