Arches National Park, Utah

it's a struggle for existence in the southwest...hot and arid, water is scarce in the area...around Arches NP the fantastic rock formations are often surrounded by a few Pinons, and also these Juniper trees..evidently the Junipers will self-regulate, cutting off water to parts of the plant in order to preserve the entire specimen
