at least the rain largely stopped this afternoon, still conditions remained gloomy...even a little break can instigate a foray though, in this case to Granville Island, at the mouth of False Creek, and under the towering Granville Street Bridge

Gloomy perhaps, but photographically appealing in the extreme. I love the look and mood of this - it just wouldn't have had this kind of zing if it were a nice day. Love all the structural details, lines and patterns. ~BV~

It is always fun to visit Granville Island, and it makes a break on dull, even if not rainy, day. Love this well composed image with the bridge serving as a frame for all that is going on beneath. V

Those soupçons of color add just enough condiments to the gloominess here to direct the eye to to lovely curves and shapes of rich geometry discoverable in the image and turn it into a pleasant scene for brisk walking and exploring.
