The old with the new. Wonderful that the nicely painted horse is pointing out that great old advertising on the bricks. V

I love these old signs...great find, and a nice use of the horse to point us to the sign!

Flowers and a colorful horse embellish the scenery. Excellent composition!

I like the contrasting old sign of the times vs. the new sign of the times...
the wildly painted horse. V

Love those horses and love how the sign is still on the wall. We have a lot of those in Fort Worth. Makes me feel at home. :) V

A story telling image from your personal pov. V

The old, faded sign on the end of the brick building steals the show to the chagrin of the colored horse! V

Sounds like a good idea, David.
Love the composition here, with the very modern dancing horse providing a colourful foreground to this fading sign of yesteryear. V

Great capture - the way the horse has raised its front leg it looks like he is about to start / impart some of his own colour!

Very interesting piece of history and I like how the sculpture appears to be pointing towards the sign.

Good capture David - I wish I'd thought of photographing these old signs this many years ago, but alas I didn't and now many of them have gone forever...

Very cool shot, David! I haven't been in the old town part of Ft. Collins for a while, but your image reminds me how much I need to get up there and check it out. ~V~

indeed that sculpture contrasts with those ghost signals...
both sides of the coin, melancholy and joy.... so much attractive, David..

Quite a difference between the staid sign and flamboyant horse. Good eye and nicely presented. V

Joni Mitchell nailed it in Big Yellow Taxi....

They paved paradise and put up a parkin' lot
With a pink hotel, a boutique, and a swingin' hot spot
Don't it always seem to go
That you don't know what you got till it's gone
They paved paradise and put up a parkin' lot

I guess there is nostalgia for this kind of history. I am more intrigued by the rearing horse all decked out in fanciful patterns of color, with his tail serving as ballast.
What was the artist thinking?

Fascinating contrast between the vibrant statue and faded sign. Nice with the two walking figures and sharp and clear throughout. "V"
