Cache La Poudre Canyon, Colorado

‘Bury the powder’ was evidently what some French explorers, wanting to protect their supply of gunpowder, cried out when caught in a snowstorm around here during the early 19th century, hence the enduring name Cache La Poudre...the river flows down from the Rocky Mountains, crosses northern Colorado through Fort Collins, and eventually flows into the South Platte River near the eastern edge of the state..

I like the freshness of this mountain landscape, the river that winds between the big rocks! V

Good vantage point for this image of the river and its firs beyond. Looks like challenging terrain with those granite boulders strewn about on which some lacy light patterns are dancing. Find any gunpowder?
