towering

Seattle, Washington

earlier in the summer made a day trip down to Seattle, enticed there by two English colleagues to attend a football (‘soccer’ over here) match...the stadium, Qwest Field, was immense, and also offered views of the city between the towering stands

ironically, as I was unsure of stadium rules, I took just the pocket camera, thinking that would be easier to smuggle in, only to see many others in attendance openly wielding SLRs...ah well...another time I will know better

It does look crowded..! Bold construction and composition!
John Lamb04-Sep-2011 05:05
it sure looks like the prow of a ship, just about to slide beneath the waves, as Mananee suggested.

Very interesting composition - almost looks as though the stadium has been
peeled away to reveal this view of the city. V

A rather dauntingly large stadium, especially from this interesting perspective. It appears to tower over the city behind! Well captured I think. V

Fascinating composition. This looks quite precarious from this angle. "V"

If I hadn't read your caption, I would think that this is the back end of a ship vessel tossed on high by a sea monster with passengers scurrying to rush and slide to safety! Others have somehow made it to a level platform. But then the light and clarity of Seattle beyond turns this into a movie still for some kind of horror show! Brave to attend this.
