Sonoma, California

the first stop in California was at Sonoma, a charming town with many old public buildings and private homes, some dating from the 19th century...it was in Sonoma that the California Republic was first declared after a revolt by farmers against the local Mexican authorities in 1846...one month later the area was annexed by the United States government
