gloomy

the view from Kitsilano Beach looking east across English Bay...gloomy days like this one will be the dominant weather pattern for the next four or five months...perhaps it's time to get back to night photography

Wonderful contrast between the city and this bit of shoreline with its scant color, very fine. V

I don't look at it as gloomy...the clouds give it depth. A beautiful perspective!
Doug Cruden17-Nov-2010 22:49
It may be gloomy David, but there's a certain loveliness about this composition - there's a great contrast here between the smooth-worn rocks and the shore-side trees with the jagged man-made horizon in the distance...

Grey days can make good shots...this is one!

Fantastic composition and excellent perspective David. The rocks area great foil for for the skyline of your wonderful city. At least you will have little or no snow to shovel during the winter. V

Lots of fine detail here, and I can see how the blue hour would lend it an extra magical dimension.

Gloomy, but beautiful. Excellent macro weather I say. Great perspective and composition with a nice contrast between the rocks and the buildings. "V"
