Amblypygids have apparently only been recorded from a couple of localities in the Northern Territory, both from Caves near
Oenpelli (Gunbalanya). This is the remains of another found in a cave in Kakadu (approximately 50km south) in 2002. These
remains were sent to the NT Museum and Art Gallery. This is the apparently "unconfirmed" report quoted in

Given the incredible age of the geology of the West Arnhem region and the habitat requirements of this group of animals it is not
inconceivable that this is another species of Charon. Unfortunately, I have not been able to find a live specimen of this remarkable
creature.

I just thought I should clear up the fact that I know the remains of an Amblypygid when I see one!
