Another backyard spider cleverly using the clothesline as a web anchor. One interesting thing to note about spiderweb is that the
"net" is made from two different types of web, which can be demosnstrated with a dry stick. The web coming out from the
centre, like spokes on a bicycle wheel, provides support, and information about insects becoming ensnared. It tends to be tight,
and isn't particularly elastic. On the other hand the spiralling web is the trap, being both sticky and elastic. This is the stuff the
insect gets entangled in. Spiders can move about their webs because they have special oil on their feet.
