These delightful little rodents live amongst rock outcrops at various places across Northern Australia, although if they're like any other
rock-dwelling Australian mammal that has its genetics examined it is likely to be split into half a dozen species in my opinion.
They are timid, fragile creatures that have to be handled incredibly carefully (not that most people would ever even see one) as they
appear to be very susceptible to any sort of stress.
