Ross's Goose
This tiny lone goose (back to the lone white goose rule which often, but not always, works for Ross's) was in a field south of the western part of Mallard-Fox Creek WMA. It may have a touch of Snow influence, as the grin patch is a bit prominent and bill tending toward a longer appearance. Note the vertical bill join (not convex forward like Snow) and the blue-gray "warty" area at the base of the upper mandible.
