Every Fall, the monarchs arrive in considerable numbers in our back yard. They especially like the purple asters, which grow like weeds most of the summer and then burst into gorgeous clusters of blossoms.


I know the neighbors get a big kick out of watching me run after butterflies with my camera stuck to my eye. It doesn’t bother me at all.
