Old Saybrook, CT

The inner light at Fenwick is at the mouth of the Connecticut River, which flows 400 miles from Maine to the Long Island Sound. I lived in Old Saybrook for 8 years. I graduated from OSHS, go Rams!

Note the egret and the wetlands. There is actually a golf course constructed in the marsh at this very spot. It was a shock to see a golf cart drive around the tall marsh grass.

The Connecticut River Water Trail runs along the shoreline where I grew up. The grocery store at the end of my street is now the largest kayak retail store in New England. Smart folks, those Connecticut Yankees.
