Not all our Other Mates are local OZ. We are the recipients of Mates from all over. And with that in mind we have a plan to introduce you to some of them.
The Taylors live in Geneva, in the Cantonnment of Vaud actually to avoid paying the tax associated with views of Lac Genevre, which is only slightly down the road and around the corner.
Waz and Peter ( Petros : from the Greek : the rock : ) met in another life, when they were very much younger and being what they are hit it off for ever since.
This meeting was at Waza's Greek Brother Soteri Nikolis's Hotel Nikolis under the English Walls in The Old Town of Rhodes and on the roof. It was brekki and Marianne Nikolis was making us all coffee and rolls and serving those wonderful cheese and spinach pastries. Yum !. Peter had got off an early aircraft from Londinium, assembled his bicycle and rode into town as you do in Rhodes. How in heavens name he wheeled up Hippoudamou to the Walls and found the Hotel has never been explained, a Google , unheard of then as indeed was the IBM PC, will help you if in doubt.
Thats pretty much it, plus a visit to OZ with Jill later, and playing guitar with Waza's Lads, again as you do.
Peter is a Mover and Shaker with Dupont in Geneva which is why and how he thought up the Tax dodge, and Jill an English Language Tutor with the UN. Seem to remember they are Cat people. Both are also fearless cross country skiers, climbers of frightening mountains, and incessant travelers to the Worlds ends. No ploy this. They trek-ed to Bosnia early 2009. Beautiful and sad place.
