To me this image is wonderfully symbolic. The hazy shadows conjure up memories. What are the flowers for? Who is she remembering? The fact that she is on her own and the empty chairs seem to add to the symbolism.

A work that graciously reveals by itself a paradigm of your photographic perspective and sensitiveness. You are a great photographer and I haven't a single doubt that you have a great soul not only as a photographer but equally as a human being. "The wall" is surely an exhibition of pure art. Congratulations.

Ralph Gibson or Cecil Beaton could sign it... Fantastic picture Galina.

It is always the unspoken speaks the loudest. Here is a brilliant example!

The fine quality in the wooden furniture, the lovely and well arranged flowers makes one can't help but associate the quality of the lady in shadow.

The suspense could it be ... whom or what she is expecting for ... the anxiety is well orchestrated like a symphony. Whole is definitely more than sum of the parts.

Here is Tango in photography!

Oh yes, when and how the wall is coming down? Or will it come down at all?

Melancholy, that's right! she is waiting someone or she has lost a loved person...

Looking through this gallery one gets a strong feeling that each picture is inviting us into a story..one simply has to look and put the pieces together.
From my imagination..
the flowers in shadow represent a love that is not present (also signified by the 'two' empty chairs side by side). The woman, a shadow of herself, waits to become 'whole' on his arrival.
This gallery is a delight Galina.

How unusal that a photograph should remind me of the scent of cinnamon. This one feels reminiscent.
