Sugarloaf Vista - (Second Place Winner - 2009 Sedona Arts Center Annual Exhibit)

Sedona, AZ

This pano was taken from Sugarloaf, which is a located just in front of Coffee Pot and is an easy
30 minute climb from the trail head to the summit. It provides a
great 120 degree view of the Sedona area north of the city. Here
you are viewing from about 12 o'clock (left-north) to 4 o'clock (right - southeast).
Five images were merged to make this one shot. About 30% overlap.

In the annual exhibit (pro division) 63 images were submitted. Only 13 were hung, 3 were mine
and this one of the three won second prize and sold the last day of the show. Thanks Ken!

Lovely light in this panorama and you did a great job at capturing and stitching this. Looking at the considerable amount of clouds I'd guess you had to race the clock to make those 5 captures before the light changed. :-)

Happy birthday Fred! You celebrated with a phenomenal shot that is just about perfect. The clouds are amazing and the shadows from the clouds create great contrast and dramatic range.

This amount of saturation is mild compared to many of the Sedona area photographers .....;-)
