Schnebley Hill Tree (Photo #1) #7934 Compare with (Photo #2) - Click "Next"

Sedona, AZ

It looked at 6:30 like there would be no sunset.
At about 6:35 a ray of sun came out for about 1 minute.
Later, after the sun set, the pink sky came out & I will
post some of the sky shots tomorrow. Also then the
"alpin glow" arrived - see photo #2 (not the same exact
composition) Which shot do you like the best ?

I like this image better. It works for me because the tree doesn't merge with the background elements, the shadows give the image more dimensionality and the sky is more interesting. The golden light on the next image is nice but overall I think this one is stronger.

This is the one for me!

I agree with Guy and the shadows help define the space a bit more.

Very nice, Fred. Your patience paid off. Wish I could've gotten out. I definitely like this comp better than the other as the tree doesn't cover the hillside.
