Years ago a waitress gave me a TIP on ordering a Manhattan on the
Rocks. She said to order it straight up with the ice on the side. She said that if I did that I would get more liquor. It works, you do not always get more, but you never get less. While sitting at a bar I have seen a bartender mix a Manhattan and pour it with the ice into a glass and then dump the rest.
