Here is a glimpse of what logging looked like in the past. The work was hard, for man and beast, but perhaps was gentler on the earth.
This beautiful mural is located on a building in downtown Springfield.

Some very dramatic art. My Dad talks about a pair of horses that a local man used to load logs 80 years ago. He said the horses were so well trained that they could place the log exactly at the correct spot on a wagon.

Painted in HDR, too. Kinda surreal with the rectilinear doorway. Good idea and well executed, though.
