The only slightly tragic event on arrival was that, after a couple days of extreme rain and shine on rugged paths, my pair of good sneakers which I thought was very sturdily built, decided the excitment was too much for them - the two soles, at their own wills, decided to be self-disintegrated from their tops and at the same time! The embarrassment of walking into the resort flip-flopping with two separated soles looking like a poor beggar was just as memorable as the good sceneries.
