One of many interesting and often dramatic petroglyph panels to be found in the park.
These are from the Fremont Indian culture and are some 1300 years old, though some defacing is modern.
The Fremont culture ranged throughout central Utah and is preserved at
Clear Creek Canyon's site at Fremont Indian State Park a hundred miles to the west.
As O. Ned Eddins ( http://www.thefurtrapper.com/fremont_indians.htm ) relates,
"There are more National Parks (Zions, Bryce, Capitol Reef, Arches, Canyonlands), National Monuments,
and State Parks in the homeland of the Fremont Indians than any other area of North America."
