communicating emotion

a great deal of our communication is done electronically today.
we often use symbols, smileys, emoticons to convey our feelings!

I like the contrast in this photo.
I find communicating emotions electronically very difficult. There is nothing to touch a real conversation.

There are those fingernails again! The previous comment, about the high key effect, is something I think about often. Your highlights don't have detail; they seem burned out. That adds a lot to the "emotion", the impact of the picture. Do you do that on purpose? In a way, a more "simple" image such as thing, without distracting detail, can work. This one does for me.
