The flights from west coast of North America to South Africa is a long way away. After 22+ hours flying in the air plus layover and long wait at the airports, it at least is 30 hours from door to door.
The flight from Johannesburg (JNB) to Skukuza airport, one of the two public airports, is only an hour away. There are a few scheduled flights to take travelers to Kruger National Park and the neighboring private game reserves.
Sabi Sabi private game reserve does offer private plane ride, but at twice the price point. We selected the cheaper option but had to pay for the ride to be taken to the private game reserve, about 45-minute ride on dirt road.
