The international space station and the shuttle Endeavour fly over Kent, Ohio shortly before 5 am eastern time on May 30, 2011. The shuttle had just disconnected from the station and both were flying in tandem. It was taken with a Nikon D300, a Sigma 500mm f/4.5 lens with a 1.4x teleconverter. Exposure was 1/1000 of a sec. at f/6.3. This is the full frame. The previous image is cropped and shows more detail. The following image shows just the space station in an extremely cropped and processed view. At the time, the station was about 275 miles away.
