Gary in N California: Enclosed are pics of my setup for lites. Must have cost all of $3 or so. Get a piece of aluminum flat stock 1.5" or so and put two bends in it. Drill holes so it will attach with new nuts and bolts beneath the headlite. Use the 2 screw holes that hold the little plate that attaches below the headlite. Use fender washers inside and lock nuts with the nylon insert. This has proven reliable at speeds well into three digits. My lites are bright yellow fog lites from Target or K-Mart and make you really visible out there.
