Now that new spring foliage is beginning to appear, I went to this nearby 150 year old oak to try my new IR-converted D70. Once I made the image, I decided to see how it would look with more grain as apparently was typical with IR film. Not leaving well enough alone - let's sepia tint it, too.
It was an interesting experiment which I'll try again later today. I thought the clouds would add interest and drama to the monochromatic IR - but they added confusion by obscuring the contrast between the tree and the black sky. Live & learn (but you'd think after 7+ decades most of the learning would have been done).
