Built in 1562 this mausoleum in New Delhi is considered to be the inspiration for the Taj Mahal in Agra. For further information about this World Heritage Site please see the following link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Humayun's_Tomb
Having had the privilege of visiting the Taj Mahal in Agra during a year in India on an exchange scholarship, getting to see this beautifully composed image of Humanyn's Tomb -- which I missed while in New Delhi -- is a treat and a womderment. At first glance I thought it was the one in Agra -- but then I saw the color. (The Taj is apparently slowly becoming less white as air pollution takes its toll, but it's still white in comparison to this building.) This is a grogeous, serene, beautifully balanced shot! Congratulations, Nick.
