Scotney Castle, Kent

The photography bug is spreading to my nearest and dearest.
This picture was taken by my good friend Tams. She is just
beginning to explore the complexities of this hobby/obsession I have.
We had an unofficial mini 'PBase meet' at Scotney Castle this weekend,
this is her first attempt so she looks forward to learning from you all,
as I have. Coincidently, I took a similar image a year or so go:

Thanks as always for your feedback

Cheers Nick

I think our Tams has found the Lock Ness! Not sure if that limb jutting out from the water is what caught her eye or the reflection of the castle or both. First lesson, you need a clear subject. Second lesson, expose for your subject. Assuming you wanted the castle reflection as a main component of the comp, it appears a bit hot (over exposed) and so if you metered off that part of the water and used that exposure for the image, you would have a nice silhouette of the limb and a well defined castle reflected in the water.

Just a suggestion.
