Heavens Above

Mt. Evans, Colorado

Cumulus clouds soar above the flanks of 14,000-foot Mount Evans near Idaho Springs, Colorado.
For more information about Mount Evans, visit www.mountevans.com.
It Might Be Interesting To Know: This photograph is a combination of 3 separate exposures;
one for the shadows, one at the "normal" setting, and one for the highlights. The exposures were
then combined to achieve a much greater dynamic range than one exposure alone could have captured.

If you have an interest in HDR (high dynamic range) photography, please visit Trey Radcliffe's stunning site athttp://stuckincustoms.com. Trey has an outstanding HDR Tutorial available there. Trey also wrote an HDR article for Volume 9 of Pbase magazine available at www.pbase.com/magazine. THANK YOU, TREY!

Thank you, Chris and Terri! In answer to your question, Terri, I use the standalone version of Photomatix Pro (as opposed to the plug-in). For more info, check out www.hdrsoft.com. Note that later versions of Photoshop also have a Merge to HDR feature.
