This shot was taken about 926 microseconds after the pellet should have reached the edge of the balloon. That's just a hair less than a millisecond.

The ballon is pretty far gone at this point.

Thanks for the kind words. The balloon is actually full of air, not water. I put a little cornstarch inside, and rubbed it on my hair to make the cornstarch stick to the sides. The force of the popping makes those patterns in the cornstarch.

This is great and perfect timing.
It reminds me of the Union Jack flag (UK) with the lines in the water. V
