The imaging camera

When using the telescope for DSLR astrophotography, I remove the eyepiece and attach a camera, without a lens, to the telescope's focuser. My imaging camera is a stock Canon Digital Rebel XT (model 350D).

Nikon Coolpix L5

Did you have to move the primary mirror closer to focus your camera? I have the same setup except for the autoguider. I moved my primary mirror up about 3 inches. I havent had a chance to go out and test my canon 1000d in prime focus yet, the skies wont clear up!
