Today we celebrated our first Christmas in our new home. New home, new traditions, new foods and new ways of doing old things we have always done. Sarah sits here zoned out listening to whatever it is 12 year olds are into these days. She's got enough iTunes gift cards to get her thru the next few months of "must have" new songs on her phone and new headphones she "had" to have... What I hope she did hear today was the prayer we did at breakfast. As I said, new home so we did things differently. Today, we went around the table one at a time and said what we were most thankful for in this past year and what were hopeful for in 2015. It was cool to hear everyone in our families perspective on these two things. After breakfast, Sarah and I were talking about paying it forward and doing good for others. Doing unto others and how sometimes just doing things without a level of expectation or wanting in return is one of the best gifts we can give. I often get the ability to do things for others and things seem to come back in aces to me, which perpetuates my desire to pay it forward again and it repeats itself over and over for many good things to happen to me and others again and again. It's happened a lot this holiday season and it's been nice, really nice to make a difference!

Sarah, if you read this someday take my advice and always give when you can and if someone does something for you then pay it forward to someone else. It's the gift that keeps giving! Listen to me on this one, you won't regret it.
