Mosaics have moved from the Archaeological Museum to the much better Zeugma museum in 2011. Though I dislike the way they are lit with arrays of led spotlights, some of different colours resulting in a spotty pattern of light, which was more pronounced on pictures than to my eyes. Some mosaics are shown in what seems to be their original setting, with some brickwork, pillars and frescoes. There is an improved sense of space. Note I organized a lot of mosaics as separate galleries, the advantage is pictures are better organized. In some galleries I group mosaics of which I have no further information. Though I later found there is an official looking site with lots of information, but in Turkish.

I find colour correcting pictures of mosaics hell. The basic colour of background tesserae varies considerably, so one cannot use that as a point of reference. I have used several methods over the years that give decent results, but between pictures there are big differences, in particular if I have mixed them with older shots. In a few cases I show both an uncorrected picture and a corrected version.

Most mosaics are from Zeugma. I have large collections of Roman mosaics at (this one included) at: Gaziantep Zeugma Museum; Istanbul mosaics museum; Mosaics in the Casale Villa in Sicily; Adana mosaics; Antakya Museum gallery, Haleplibahçe Mosaics Museum in Urfa.

I was informed about a couple of quite reliable sources for Greek mythology quick-fixes one of them has some discussion of the Zeugma mosaics, as well as Greek Mythology Link.
