Istanbul 7th Hill 1008.jpg

This is the Sancaktar Mescidi, it was supposedly the Moanastery of Gastra, supposedly founded in the fourth century by St. Helena, mother of Constantine the Great. This legend seems to have been proven wrong. Whatever is the case, it is thought to have been a funerary chapel, now turned into a mosque. Nothing special, except for its octagonal form.
