Ordu

view map

I made a stroll along the beach. Season was over, but people must have enjoyed the way the city spreads itself along a wide stretch of each in a lazy curve, for many kilometers. Sandy beach is rare along the Black Sea, that may be a reason why this city is popular.

Though here the beach has shrank to non-existence. but at least one can promenade along the sea.

I was born and raised in Ordu. A very lovely city. This road we see in this photograph goes alongside the motorway in the heart of the city. On the other side of the motorway there are several tea gardens and cafeterias. At the east end of this path there is a parc and a Luna Parc and on the west end the port (rather a small one). People of Ordu take a walk here after their dinner in the summer nights, sometimes take break to have a drink in one of the teagardens. this is a summer routine that I cannot forget. And it's really crowded in summertime. A very lovely city. Thank you so much Mr. Osseman for your photos, for all of them. Best regards..
