Basalt stele with a hunting scene. 85 x 40 cm.
Two men are standing on a war chariot: a driver and a hunter with bow and arrow. The chariot is pulled by a horse. Under the horse a hound is running to the left; in front of the horse, a big lion sits on its posterior and raises its right foreleg.
Neo-Hittite sculpture, Aramean style. Dated to the 9th century BC.
Found in Kayabaşı Köyü, near Islahiye (west of Gaziantep).
