At the Mevlana Museum. I have the feeling that the crowds it draws are bussed to the museum, pushed through, and then leave for the next town, which is a shame, because they miss a lot in this great town. I have been walking the Konya streets for days and never saw a bus at any of the other sights.
As for the museum, inside picture taking was forbidden when I returned in September 2008. This is a nasty development, I hear that many places now forbid picture taking. It may have to do with the increasing crowds (photographers tend to block passages and keep down the flow), but I can imagine other reasons (better sales of postcards and catologues). I also think it is silly, in an age when everyone has a telephone that will take a decent shot.
