According to George this car was a winner in 1960 at the 2nd Annual International Autorama at the Dinner Key Auditorium. It was beautiful maroon red and had striping done by Jerry Anolik, owner of the Moon Rocket (photo also in this gallery). It was a great car for an 18-year old. Gil now lives up the coast in Sebastian, Florida.
He is my brother and the best brother in the world!

Great looking T-Bird! Has the "latest" in fads to go with cars in the late 50's & early 60's that I see...3x2's carburetion, painted-on scallops, wide white-wall tires, chrome "Lakes Pipes", & the ubiquitous (at the time) 1957/58 Dodge Custom Royal Lancer 4-bar spinner wheel covers! I even put these on my new 1965 Satellite!!!

Gil was my neighbor on 52nd Ave. I passed his great cars walking to the bus stop on Flagler St. pre-summer of 1960.

I was just up at Gil's last week and played golf with him. He was playing golf, I wasn't. He's a very good golfer, but then he lives on a golf course. Enjoyed my visit Gil, I'll be back and stay for a month or two---Ha!
