If you buy a big honking sailboat it is probably a good idea to learn how tides work.

Every few years there is an incident like this in Drew Harbour.
They anchor too close to shore during high tide.

It seems like a difficult thing to get out of. I like the dinghy next to it. V

Yes a good lesson hope the owner can wait for the next high tide and then maybe he will be sailing again.
A nice complete composition and nice detail.

There some like this everywhere, Intelligence in one area doesn't guarantee intelligence in all areas.

Interesting that the skiff is parked next to her. Makes me wonder if the owner was still aboard when she went aground. Good documentary capture, Don. V

Great find and capture, and I think the owner needs to go to sailing school. V.

summer visitors are already showing up for long term stays then...astute comp shows just enough of the setting while keeping focus on the main subject..

At least he parked it diagonally.

That's a very nice boat...less drinking and more attention to navigating :0) v

That would seem like common sense, but as Stephen Leacock once once said, "Common sense is not too common." V
