Nervous Nellie

On today's walk Kailey was constantly sniffing and looking north.
And she resisted going on any of the trails that headed north.
It was probably just a deer that she smelled. She's been spooked
by them ever since she was chased by the aggressive doe in our
neighborhood. But there are other more dangerous animals in
this area, so I followed her advice and we stayed off the
north-bound trails.

Ah yes, a dog's nose is so much more sensitive than ours...you did well to follow her instincts

It's good policy to never argue with a dog's nose.

Good idea to heed her senses - too bad dogs can't talk :( Neat shot with her looking alert. V

Interesting isn't it, how there are some places they do not want to go. As Carl said, if only they could talk. My dog has done the same and has refused to go down certain trails. V

her heightened awareness was well worth heeding considering the wildlife on Quadra...fine catch of her tuned into the moment..

Great capture of your expert lookout. I think it was a good idea to follow her instincts.

If they could only talk, though that probably would ruin the relationship!
