So, this is the 40 year old 50mm f/1.2 mounted on the
Z6 with the FTZ adapter. The adapter allows electronic
communication between the camera and chipped lenses,
but the adapter does not support mechanical communication.
Consequently the Z6 does not know what aperture has been
selected when using older manual focus lenses. This was
shot at either f/5.6 or f/8, and certainly not f/1.2 as
the camera is reporting.

Apart from this minor issue, mirrorless camera features
like focus peaking and viewfinder magnification are ideal
for shooting with manual focus lenses.

Best viewed at original size.

A minor issue with old lenses, but the image quality is so good. Like your composition. In the old days I sometimes carried a notepad where I wrote down the shutter speed and aperture.

An exceptional image, I love the use of the "portrait" format here, plus the detail exposure is so nice.

might well have been f/8 considering the front to back clarity...cool peek through the trees, and reassuring the ferry link is intact..

I am very tempted by the Z6. Nice composition here.

Beautiful capture, and looks like that old lens will be a winner with the Z6. V.
